3 Easy Hacks to Maximize Video for Lead Generation

Generating leads with video is a tool that no business should be without. Video is a great medium that offers free distribution and a high return on investment. With the right tactics, you can turn your videos into lead generation machines. We put together a list of three easy hacks that if you implement in your videos today you’ll see an increase in lead generation.

Hook your Audience

The first 5 seconds of your video are CRUCIAL! Get right to the content with your videos. Adding superfluous titling, fancy graphic intros and company logos transitions will increase your video’s bounce rate. The viewer wants to watch your content, not be bombarded with a flashy intro.

TIP: If you’re set on having a graphic intro we recommend placing at in the 10-15 second mark. This will give you enough time to hook the audience before moving to your intro.

Promote, Promote, Promote,

It’s rare that a video sits in a dark corner of Youtube and then suddenly becomes a star. If you want your content to be noticed you need to vigorously promote and share your video. Then once you think you’re done promoting it, convince your friends, family, co-workers to share the video too. This will considerably increase the amount of views your video receives.

TIP: If your network isn’t providing you with enough outreach you should look into paid promotions. On social media outlets, you can pay a premium to have your video shown to specific demographics. While it’s not free, you are able to connect with viewers that were previously unreachable.

Strong Call to Action

When video marketing your videos should have a specific goal in mind. The best way to hit your goal is by adding a Call to Action [CTA] towards the end of your video. The Call to Action will tell the audience exactly what you want them to do. Whether you need more subscribers, product sales or feedback from viewers, you’re not going to receive the results you want if you don’t ask.

TIP: You need to make it easy for the viewer to complete your request. Include relevant links in the video description to help support your Call to Action. If you want them to subscribe to your email list there better be a link to sign up within clicking distance of the video.

Videos should be your pocket aces when engaging in lead generation. Online users love the ease and portability of video. You should be using this to your advantage when working with prospective clients. If you’re implementing our 3 hacks, you’ll see an increase in lead generation and a higher return on investment from your videos.
